How the Hot Ones lineup works
Each season has 10 sauces, served on 10 wings, generally arranged from mildest to hottest. The exact lineup changes every season, but a few traditions recur:
Early wings — the lineup opens mild. For many seasons this included a version of The Classic, but recent lineups have used other openers.
Middle of the lineup — Los Calientes frequently occupied the #4 or #5 slot beginning in Season 6. A ★ on this page marks only the historical Los Calientes entries made by Karma Sauce in Rochester, NY.
Spot #8 — Da' Bomb — Beyond Insanity held this slot for many years. Season 30 introduced the newer Hot Ones #8 sauce in the same position.
Spot #10 — a version of The Last Dab remains the traditional finale, with the customary extra dab on the final wing.
The remaining sauces rotate season to season, drawing from independent sauce makers around the world as well as Hot Ones-branded sauces.
Karma-branded debut: Extreme Karma joined the Season 5 lineup at the #6 slot — Karma Sauce's first appearance under its own brand. Read the Season 5 archive →
Karma at #9: Scorpion Disco was added to the lineup in Season 15 — Malcolm Gladwell famously called it "not an encouraging label." Read the Season 15 archive →
Karma at #7: Cosmic Disco — a mash-up of Karma's Cosmic Dumpling and Scorpion Disco — wreaked havoc on David Blaine, Kid Cudi, and James Corden. Read the Season 19 archive →
Karma at #2: Lift Off, with green Thai vibes, opened the season for Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Lisa, Bill Murray, and Eiza González. Read the Season 26 archive →
Season 31 note: HEATONIST currently publishes 1–10 heat ratings rather than SHU figures for most of this lineup. Exact Scoville values are shown only where a current published figure is available. The Season 31 Los Calientes Rojo entry is intentionally not marked with a Karma star because this current production was not made by Karma Sauce.
Defunct & retired sauces
A handful of sauces from earlier seasons are no longer in production or have been replaced by newer formulations. They show up in the season tables above for the historical record, but you can't buy them anymore.
Hot Ones — Fiery Chipotle (Seasons 2–5). The very first Hot Ones-branded sauce. Discontinued.
The Last Dab series has gone through multiple formulations: The Last Dab (S4–S5), The Last Dab Reduxx (S6–S9), The Last Dab XXX (S10–S12), The Last Dab Apollo (S13–S21), The Last Dab: Xperience (S22–S27), and The Last Dab: Thermageddon (S28–present).
About this list
What is Hot Ones?
Hot Ones is the YouTube show where celebrities answer questions while eating progressively spicier wings. Across 31 seasons, the show has featured more than 200 unique sauces, the bulk from independent makers, plus recurring Hot Ones house sauces. This is the complete list, season by season.
Why Karma sauces are starred
Karma Sauce has been on the show in 10 seasons, with 27 Karma-made sauce-season appearances through Season 28. That includes six Karma-branded sauces (Extreme Karma, Burn After Eating, Scorpion Disco, Cosmic Disco, Lift Off, Funken Hot) and 21 historical appearances of Los Calientes Verde, Rojo, and Barbacoa produced in our Rochester, NY facility. The Season 31 Rojo entry is not included in that count and is not starred because that current production was not made by Karma Sauce.
A note on Scoville numbers
The values listed throughout this page are figures published by Hot Ones or its retail partner Heatonist. They aren't always confirmed by the actual sauce maker, who may publish a different number, or none at all. Within the industry, ratings for super-hot sauces (especially anything over 500,000 SHU) are widely understood to be estimates rather than independently verified lab results. Treat them as directional, not precise.
How the lineup works
Each season follows the same ten-wing structure: the lineup starts mild and ramps up, with the tenth and final sauce reserved for The Last Dab, the show's signature super-hot finale. The Last Dab has gone through multiple formulations over the years, each built around the hottest peppers available at the time (Pepper X is the current standard).
How we built this list
Source data was compiled from First We Feast's official lineup announcements, Heatonist's product catalog, and cross-referenced with Wikipedia for older seasons. Updated through Season 31. If you spot a correction, let us know.

Who made the Los Calientes sauces starred in this list?
Karma Sauce developed and manufactured the starred Los Calientes Verde, Rojo, and Barbacoa entries shown in the historical seasons on this page at our Rochester, NY facility. The Los Calientes Rojo appearing in Season 31 is not starred because that current production was not made by Karma Sauce.
What's the hottest sauce ever on Hot Ones?
The Last Dab: Xperience was published at 2,693,000 Scovilles based on Pepper X. Beginning with Season 28, the #10 finale is The Last Dab: Thermageddon; its current lineup SHU is listed as TBD. (Many published Scoville values, especially at the extreme end, are figures published by the show rather than independently verified lab results, so treat them as directional rather than precise.)
